Laundry Attendant

Oxford Casino Hotel, located in Oxford, Maine, is part of Churchill Downs Incorporated and has seen significant growth since it opened in 2012. The casino boasts a variety of gaming options for our visitors, including 23 table games and over 900 of the latest and most popular slot machines. The property also features 2 restaurants, the Ox Pub, and the Oxford Express, and a 107-room hotel which includes 6 well-appointed suites. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean, quality linens for hotel operations by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry in accordance with established standards. This position plays an important role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency within the laundry facility while following safety procedures, properly handling chemicals, and communicating with other departments to support operational needs. The Laundry Attendant takes pride in their work, demonstrates attention to detail, and is committed to providing exceptional service and supporting a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Empty all laundry receptacles
• Properly sort all linen for laundering
• Pre-spot and pre-soak difficult stains before washing
• Load and unload washers and dryers
• Fold linen, individually or with partner based on size
• Deliver and stack clean linen in supply areas
• Report any problems immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor or Guest Relations Manager
• Report to manager when chemicals/items needed for job need to be reordered
• Store chemicals neatly and properly
• Communicate with other departments for proper distribution of laundry
• Promotes outstanding customer relations
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Required to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Must have good communication and organization skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior laundry experience a plus. Must be able to work alone and/or as a team.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Frequently walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, carrying and climbing.
